4 Different Kinds of Fudge

The base recipe for this fudge consists of only three ingredients and is very easy to make. The result is a very sweet and soft candy, that you can treat your family and friends with. Also great as an homemade gift for the sweet tooth in your life!

Here is the base recipe and four different fudges you could do with it!

INGREDIENTS
400 g / 0.88 lbs of chocolate or 400 g / 0.88 lbs of white chocolate
50 g / o.11 lbs butter
1 can of condensed milk, about 397 g / 0.87 lbs
sprinkles (optional!)

1. CHOCOLATE FUDGE WITH SEA SALT
a pinch of sea salt

This is the most basic recipe of fudge that will be used in all other recipes so please refer to this.

Line a square baking dish with parchment paper.

Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave-safe bowls in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring each time until the everything has melted. If you don't have a microwave, you can melt the chocolate and butter using the double boiler method, where you add a bowl with chocolate and butter in it on top of a pot with boiling water. Stir until everything has melted.

Add the condensed milk and mix everything together.

Pour the fudge mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly.

Sprinkle a bit of sea salt and sprinkles if you wish and refrigerate for 3+ hours or until the fudge has hardened.

Remove the fudge from the pan and slice into pieces before serving.

2. RUM AND RAISIN CHOCOLATE FUDGE (for adults!)
100 g / 0.22 lbs raisins
50 ml rum

Soak the raisins in rum overnight.

Follow the base recipe and mix in the rum soaked raisin while you add the condensed milk.

3. WHITE CHOCOLATE AND CRANBERRY FUDGE
100 g dried cranberries

Follow the base recipe, using white chocolate instead and mix in the cranberries while you add the condensed milk.

4. WHITE CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT FUDGE
peppermint extract to taste
crushed candy canes

Follow the base recipe, using white chocolate instead and mix in the peppermint extract 1 tsp at a time while you add the condensed milk. Taste the mixture and add more peppermint extract if needed.

Crush the candy canes and when you have poured out the fudge into a baking dish, sprinkle over the crushed candy canes.

NOTES
Slice the fudge as you serve it. This keeps the block fresher for longer.
Store in an airtight container for up to two weeks in the fridge.
You can keep this in the freezer for up to three months.
Sprinkles are totally optional but I recommend adding them to make the fudge more fun!
Mix and match!
