Honey with Ginger and Lemon

With the cold season upon us, it's nice to have something homemade on hand for coughs and sore throat. It only uses three ingredients and as long as honey is covering the ingredients, it will last indefinitely in your fridge.

INGREDIENTS
1 lemon
ginger, grated or chopped, around 1 tbsp or more
honey enough to cover everything

Wash your lemon and slice it into pieces. Remove seeds if there are any.

Grate or chop your ginger into small pieces.

Fill the jar of your choice with lemon and ginger, alternating between them two.

Add honey and make sure everything is covered with it.

Refrigerate for 24 hours before using.

Eat it as is, mix it into your tea or add to some hot water.

NOTES
If you like more ginger, definitely add more as the lemon can be quite overpowering in the honey.
I also recommend eating the lemons as after some time, they turn really sweet thanks to absorbing the flavour of the honey.
This can also be a great Christmas gift and you can customise it a lot by adding more ingredients to it. For example adding a bit of lavender for some floral flavour.
